Tungnath Mahadev is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Tungnath village of the Rudraprayag district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is the highest Shiva temple in the world, situated at an altitude of 3680 meters above sea level.
The temple is believed to be over 1000 years old and is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. It is one of the five Panch Kedar temples, which are considered to be the most sacred shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The other four temples in the Panch Kedar group are Kedarnath, Rudranath, Madhyamaheshwar, and Kalpeshwar.
